On behalf of the university, Secretary Chi Baoxu extended a warm welcome to President Gusev and his delegation. He noted that Heilongjiang University has always been at the forefront of China-Russia cooperation, with a long-established and distinctive Russian language program that enjoys the reputation of being the "Cradle of Russian Language Talent Development in China." He emphasized that the two universities share highly compatible academic strengths and a solid foundation for cooperation, particularly in language teaching and the training of translation professionals. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this visit as an opportunity to further integrate high-quality educational resources, expand channels for faculty and student exchanges, elevate the level of international talent cultivation, and jointly advance the construction of the China-Russia International Campus at Suifenhe, thereby contributing to the nation's strategy of opening up to the world and cultivating high-caliber talents with a deep understanding of both China and Russia.

President Gusev expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and provided an overview of the development of Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, with particular emphasis on high-level talent development and exchange programs such as the "Future Scholar" initiative. He stated that the Institute places great importance on its cooperative relationship with Heilongjiang University and looks forward to both sides leveraging their respective strengths and resources, improving communication mechanisms, expanding areas of collaboration, and translating shared consensus into tangible outcomes, so as to elevate the partnership to greater depth and higher levels.
During the symposium, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on issues of mutual concern, including the implementation of international programs, joint training, teaching and research cooperation, and the establishment of long-term mechanisms for faculty and student exchanges. They further clarified the direction of their cooperation and reached a consensus on promoting the orderly development of relevant collaborative efforts.
This meeting deepened the mutual understanding between the two institutions in educational cooperation and collaborative talent development, laying a solid foundation for integrating complementary strengths and expanding cooperation. Going forward, our university will continue to build on its distinctive strengths in Russia-focused education, leverage the development of the Suifenhe Campus, further improve cooperation mechanisms, and promote the sharing of educational resources, the synergy of talent cultivation, and the co-construction of exchange platforms, so as to continuously enhance the quality of our open education and international talent development.
